BTW, I think you could totally use unsweetened cocoa instead of cacao or vanilla powder instead of vanilla bean — this is just what I happened to have on hand. Let me know in the comments below what you might add or subtract from this recipe or how you make baked donuts at home.

Baked Gluten Free Vegan Chocolate Donuts
1.25 cups blanched almond flour
1/4 cup cacao powder
1.25 tsp baking powder
1 Vegan Egg from Follow Your Heart
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1 small ripe banana
1 Tbsp coconut oi
½ vanilla bean
1 Tbsp vegan milk (I used Hazelnut Milk)
Pinch salt (I used Himalayan Pink Salt)
Optional Chocolate Ganache
2 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp cacao powder
1 Tbsp maple syrup
